Both leaders reaffirmed their nations’ shared commitment to international cooperation and multilateralism, particularly through platforms like the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, where the UAE holds Dialogue Partner status. Sheikh Mohamed welcomed President Tokayev and his delegation, expressing gratitude for their participation in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW). The event, recognised as a global platform for promoting sustainability and innovation, highlights the UAE and Kazakhstan’s aligned focus on addressing global climate challenges.

The dialogue also addressed regional and global issues of shared concern, with both leaders underscoring the importance of diplomacy to resolve conflicts and promote peace. They emphasized the need for enhanced global collaboration to tackle challenges such as climate change. President Tokayev commended the UAE for its forward-looking initiatives and the warm reception extended to him and his delegation. He reiterated Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening ties with the UAE to support shared developmental aspirations.

The Kazakh leader also lauded the impact of ADSW in raising international awareness on sustainability, noting its vital role in safeguarding the interests of future generations. The UAE-Kazakhstan relationship, established in 1993, has steadily evolved into a robust partnership, supported by shared goals and strategic cooperation. Both nations have worked closely to leverage opportunities in sectors of common interest, building a strong foundation for further growth.

The meeting was attended by prominent UAE officials, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; and several other ministers and high-ranking representatives. President Tokayev arrived earlier in the day and was received at the Presidential Airport by Sheikh Mansour and senior UAE officials. His visit reflects the deepening ties and mutual aspirations for enhanced collaboration between the two nations. – By MENA Newswire News Desk.
